What can 400 mexican pesos buy? |
I am sending for a friend's birthday 50 dollars to buy something for her special day but wonder if she will be able to buy something nice there. I know the conversion is roughly about 400 pesos, is this a lot? Additional Details She lives in the city of China in Nuevo Leon, MX. Seems from the list general goods, food and clothing are less but when it comes to electronics they are more then the US... imports factor? |

Where in Mexico, Give more info.
I'm from the North and 50 bucks can only buy you a nice dinner. 45 + tip.
Not too fancy, just a small sushi shop type of dinner.
In the South she could probably go to a nicer place.
Also, imports cost more in the South than in the North. Like clothing, perfumes, electronics. They are cheaper in the North.
She could probably buy a cologne with 50 bucks, no tax.
again, this in the North
I'll give you a hint:
these are the five most expensive cities in Mexico.
Cabo #1
Mexico City #2
Cancun #3
Monterrey #4
Tijuana #5
guess where I'm from
yes BAJA |

dont worry it is enought for her to buy something nice, I'm pretty sure she will be happy, in Mexico we dont really care of how expensive a present is, so that is an ok gift, |

Hi Im mexican, and you can buy much more the same as with 50 dollars, maybe a nice fantasy necklace, a shirt (not from a fancy brand of couse), a silver ring, it depends were you look for, preferable not in touristic places because they are more expensive. |

In Nvo. León you find the best leather shoes at good prices. I'm sure like any girl she will love to buy herself a nice pair leather shoes at that price. And 50 dollars is closer to 500 pesos. |
