you can't bring anything back that isn't allowed in the US normally. and that includes alchohol if you are not 21. in fact, if the border guard feels like it, he can actually give you an MIP. and no medications either. you have to have a prescription from a US doctor.
You don't need to know that just yet...

You can bring back some marvellous talevera (cermic tiles and pottery) woven/embroidered runners, crocheted mats, wooden carvings, floor mats beautifully designed and colourful, German Peuter items at a marvellous price and failing that you can bring back:-
typhoid, dysentery, hepatitis, and other forms of paracytes and amaebas,
so be careful what you drink (only purified water) keep off the ice unless you know it is purified and not fingerhandled, and keep off salads unless you know how the ingredients are purified. Do not buy fresh cut up fruit from street venders.
