I'd say Ciudad Juarez. Since 2008 started, it got way out of hand. There have been 522 homicides so far (28% of Mexico's homicides). The population is about 3 million so that makes 1 homicide for every 6000 people. It used to be so lively at night, but now its dead at night. All of this is because of the organized crime of narcotic trafficers. They have shoot outs in broad day light and don't care if there's any one in the way. Hopefully it'll get better.

I think Mexico City is the most dangerous . I am currently living in Mexico City and I think the city is insecure because the bad government administration, corruption, and other typical problems of Third World countries.
The problem has place because Mexican politicians who controll everything (economy, mass media, and big transnational companies) only look for their own benefit.
They don't care if half of the Mexican population live with a dollar daily, or 45% is unemployed, or if many migrant workers are suffering in the USA because in Mexico they don't have opportunity to get enough money, and the unemployment is one of the heavy reasons of insecurity in Mexico City. (As many people can't get money by themselves, they are likely to get it from others, even if others may be damaged by their actions)

tijuana and juarez. Drug gangs and human smugglers are killing
peoples and policeman so that no one wants to be a police chief there and three of police chief asked asylum in USA.

There are 3 main dangerous cities: Mexico City, Tijuana and Ciudad Juárez.

Lately there has been a lot of violence in the hands of organized crime/drug lords and these cities have been the main targets. If you go there just be careful, know the good areas, and use your common sense.

I'd say Mexico City, because when I went down there with my spanish class, we say homeless ppl like no other and the guys would yell at us girls and come very close, like right up to you. It freaked us all out.

Worst Feature: Crime and Over Crowding

Mexico City is the third worlds third largest metropolis, it has all of the “ills” of the other two, New York and Tokyo, and far less of their more redeeming qualities.

It is overcrowded, over noisy, over rancid, and Ultra Violent. Organized crime is out of control in Mexico City, as is drug abuse and alcoholism.

Slum areas abound and are growing. More than 50,000 children live on the streets, water and electricity are notoriously unreliable.

Kidnapping. Over 3000 reported last year.

Probably Mexico City or somewhere in Oaxaca because Mexico City is very densely populated and polluted, but Oaxaca has been in the news a lot right now and has a bad reputation.
