It doesn't matter you if can only fill it up with US dollars, you can still use it and it will give you pesos.

If there is a Customer Service phone number on the back of the card, I would call them. They could tell you if the card will work in Cancun.

LOL!

Pesos of course!

When visiting any country and using their ATM's, they alway give you local currency!

pesos

Most of them Pesos.

But you may find some of them which would give you US Dollars. (Those in the Airport, or in the Hotel Zone). Please note that the maximum cash withdrawal in the ATMs is the equivalent of $3,000 MX Pesos per day (about USD $300 / for security reasons) and commision rates p/ cash withdrawal or Foreign Currency Exchange are sustainibly LOWER when the amount required is over $5,000 MXP (USD$500).

So best advice so far: Try to get as much as cash in your country (US Dollars are widely accepted in most Hotels, Restaurants, and bars..-even in the buses).....If you want pesos, change it in one big exhibition / operation........OR....USE YOUR HOLLY CREDIT CARD!!!
