I absolutely LOVE Mexico City. Been there several times and it's just never enough.

I love everything Chapultepec....the museums....the park....the crowds...the street food.

I love the Ballet Folklorico on a Sunday morning, then catch a mass in the Catedral Metropolitano.

Love the exciting new cuisine at all the innovative restaurants around Polanco. Love riding the Metro, where I can go anywhere for 2 pesos.

Love getting out to Teotihuacan early in the morning, while the mist is still hanging low and obscuring the pyramids. Love strolling through Coyoacan and visiting the Frida Kahlo or the Leon Trotsky houses.

So much to love, so little time to love it all...

I spent all of last August in Mexico City. I especially enjoyed exploring el Centro and Colonia Roma.

I liked the area where I rented an apartment, North of Reforma between el Angel and the fuente de Diana. There is a variety of restaurants in that area.

I especially liked my side trip by Metro and bus to Tepotzotlan.
My photos:

Late one after leaving the Folk Art Museum, I head for the Paseo de Reforma to catch a bus and due to short rain and the distraction of a new area for me, I made a wrong turn. I decided after awhile that I was going to walk all the way back. It was until I got to Calle Alvaron Obregon, that I realize where I was. When I got back to the apartment, I immediately went on line to Google maps to plot my route while it was still fresh in my mind.
