What hotel in Puerto Vallarta?

I am going to Puerto Vallarta with my young wife? Which hotel would you recomment? I have to stay somewhat in the low price range, $50-$90. I want something that is not in the wild area. Something relaxing and quiet. Has to be on the beach. Could you give me any recommendations?

i recomend the hola vallarta .. (after called qualton), its a excelent ubication and instalations, with spa, all inlcusive and friendly staff.. are locating 5 min from the town , in resume all hotels in this zone are a very good option and are in this range of price..and are all inclusive.

the sheraton bugambilias, the holiday inn, canto del sol, are very good ... i dont recommend nuevo vallarta hotels.. are more expensive and luxurious, but its a 25 minutes from town... if you realy enjoy vallarta go to a north hotel zone in "vallarta"

if you want contact with a tourist guide in vallarta , contact me i can recommed someone

?
You can try
Buenaventura Hotel & Beach Club, it can be around $82 or $152 all inclusive
or Villa del Palmar Beach Resort & Spa for about $82
Kristal is a little more aboy=ut $94, but good name hotel

Look in Expedia.com for more choices

Good Luck and enjoy your vacation!

I stayed at Hotel Rosita in March 2006. At the North End of the Boardwalk in the Downtown area. You can walk to most everything or take a Cab for $ 3-4.00 unless you go a little further but it won't break you. This hotel is on the Beach front and gives you the feel of what Mexico is. Nothing Fancy like the Sheraton or Holiday Inn. There is a Bar and Restaurant Pool and safe for your special things and money. They have a Website. I look forward to going back to this place and PV in general.

if you go to this site http://travel.yahoo.com/p-hotel-191501860-puerto_vallarta_hotels-i you can pick your price range and see a list of hotels.

Also if you check out this site http://www.tripadvisor.com/HACSearch?geo=150793&cat=1&lastSearch=Puerto+Vallarta%2C+Mexico&from=Hotels&q=Puerto+Vallarta%2C+Mexico&inMonth=02%2F2007&inDay=9&outMonth=02%2F2007&outDay=11&minmaxrate=0%2C100&adults=2&currency=USD&submit.x=19&submit.y=0

Doesn't exist. There are NO beach fronts in PVR for that low. You can get across the street all over the place for around that price but if you find a beach front for that price let me know.

The ocean front room with view I am in at obe of cheapest resort hotels is $400 a night.

Here are some from TripAdvisor. Some as low as $30-$50. There is also a forum there where you can ask questions to previous visitors.

Be very careful where you stay and what you eat in Mexico. Puerto Vallarta is absolutely beautiful and the people are extremely friendly and helpful. They don't have the same sanitation rules as we do. They will handle food with their bare hands, and the washing of cuttlery and glassware isn't the best at certain places either. Even the best of hotels will tell you their water is purified, but not to drink from the taps because they may be old, so they will strongly encourage you to drink water from either their restaurants or use bottled water. As for the cheap accomodation you're looking for, you won't get beach property. In fact, you won't get much at all considering the price you quote. It's a shame you can't go the extra mile (cost-wise) and stay at DREAMS. It's just outside the city and only costs 40pesos ($4.00 U.S.) go to downtown. It's a flat rate. The hotel offers amazing accomodation, great food, and is a 5-star rating, on the ocean, 3 pools, spa, hot tub, etc. The restaurants not only boast great food, their 5-star as well. I know, I've stayed there 2 yrs consecutively and just got back yesterday (Feb. 6). Good luck in your search, and enjoy yourself, Amigo.

You can't find something quite and nic eon the beach in puerto Vallarta for $50-$90. If you do get a place on teh beach it will be a complete dump. to have a nice time there you need to go to like a resort.
