Dean hit well to the south of Cancun and it look like Felix is doing to do the same. Right now they're predicting that Felix will hit Belize about 2PM Wednesday. Cancun may get some rain from the outer bands but no high winds. |

Hurricane Felix is in the Caribbean off the coast of Honduras as of 8:30 ( 5 min. ago) tonite. It has NOT hit Cancun. You can check the Yahoo home page for current info on the hurricane. |

Hurricane DEAN hit Chetumal, South of Cancun.
Hurricane FELIX is supposed to hit BELIZE, about 400 miles South of Cancun.
I'm in Playa del Carmen vacationing now and I am a bit nervous. Playa del Carmen is about 45 minutes South of Cancun. |

None.....so far. A near miss last week, and Felix may get it in a day or two. But nothing so far. |

Hurricane Wilma in the year 2005... it destroyed the hotel zone completely.
Next week hurricane Felix may be coming pretty close...they are saying Felix is closer to Chetumal (the capital of Quintana Roo, about 5 hrs away from Cancun).
