now? the united states. people should travel around and try to learn about and interact with the cultures of other peoples around the world. In cancun people just go there to be in another Everywhere, America. ex: walmart, McDonalds, walmart, McDonalds, Walmart like a flintstones cartoon

If you are from the U.S. or Britain forgive me for what I am about to type. It is full of the sort of U.S. and British tourists that love all inclusive holidays, are just in a place for the weather and not the country or culture.

We just came back from Cancun. It is a tourist trap in the Hotel Zone, The Mayan Riveria is much better. It is on a highway going south where all the ancient ruins are found. Exuse me Sean, but most of us who are experienced at travel do not go there just to drink and party. We interact with the locals and visit the ruins each time we go and always find out a bit more about the Island and the Mayans. From the Riveria you can go to Talum and Chitenza and Balam. Don't miss out on Playa Del Carmen. You can take a fast ferry to Cozemul and tour that island as well. If you're looking for night life, the hotel zone is loaded! The water is crystal clear, blue and warm. There are several snorkeling trijps available. When you've had enough of the culture and the sun, the spa treatments are the best in the world. Choose any one that you feel in need of! I always get the full treatment when down there. The food is wonderful and the prices are very fair. Most hotel have all-inclusive system which is great when on a budget. Have a great trip and yes, you can drink the water.

Cancun is a pretty amazing place. It's like a mixture of party people with culture. It's definitely a tourist area and a place that you really can go to to have fun. I love to stay in Cancun and then take day trips inland to see all the down right culture. It's a pretty amazing place to be.

Absolutely amazing. If there's one place I had to choose to visit, it would be Cancun. And no, not just for the beaches or whatever; I happen to be very interested in the Mexican culture and their language.

it was so much fun, i stayed in the omni and i stayed in the villa, those r really pretty but only do that if u hav lik 5-8 people i had 8! the beach is beautiful, the water is amazing it is such light blue it is the prettiest thing i have ever seen! oh and also u can get a great tan, then also the town is so cool they have great restaurants and there is one restaurant that has a patio and if u eat on the patio there an alligator that u can feed, it is harmless, also if u r looking 4 a beautiful sunset thats the place to go! back to the town if u really want to get a feel of cancun u hav to walk around the town.... u can NOT DRIVE! i would probably even say it is better than hawaii!!!!!
