You're in the wrong section-this is the Mexico travel section. Next time you'll get more answers if you go to the homework help section or the English section.

A personification is a literary device, where something takes on human characteristics.
The flowers gently bowed to the wind.

personification is when a nonhuman object takes on "human-like" qualities.

such as when a tree wilts, we say it's sad...we are giving this "thing" human emotions....it is personifying a sad person.

we do this most often with animals. people match their pets actions with emotions they perceive it to have, based on their own experience as a human.

in spanish, this is "personaficacion" not sure i got the spelling...but it's basically the english word with a spanish accent.

it's when you give an animal or object human traits.

for example

"the flowers danced in the garden."

(flowers can't really dance, it's just personification)

It is the representation or embodiment of something you possess. Someone could say that you are the personification of kindness when you do something extraordinary for them.

Since you didn't ask for the Spanish equivalent and that's not a Spanish word
-------------------
Personification, or personification anthropomorphism is a figure of speech that gives non-humans and objects human traits and qualities. These attributes may include sensations, emotions, desires, physical gestures, expressions, and powers of speech, among others. As a figure of speech it has a very long history; its Greek name is prosopopoeia. Personification is widely used in poetry and in other art forms. Personification can also be used in English to emphasize a conversational point.
