The same stupid Socialist stuff that always goes on in a state where the socialists want those who actually contribute to the state to give more because they think they are entitled.
Allegations of voter Fraud notwithstanding. This would still go on even without proof because the socialists will always say that they were robbed of an election even when they know it is not true.

The short version: A massive protest against the governor, Ulises Ruiz and the state system of Oaxaca, one of Mexico's poorest states. When he was elected last year (there were many allegations of fraud, lots of people in Oaxaca state didn't vote) he promised the business community no more strikes and protests and weakened unions.

When the teachers went on their annual strike in May, he ended up not negotiating but clearing the strike with tear gas.

The APPO was formed (loose organization of indigenous, student, human rights groups and teachers), took over downtown Oaxaca, started building barricades throughout town and brought the place to a standstill, demanding that Ruiz go away.

Last week, when a U.S. journalist was killed, Fox was finally pressured into sending in federal police (also probably not a good idea) and they went in with more tear gas and water cannons. That's where we are now.

Sheriff
Teachers of the state elementary school system
took a plaza.Gorvernor order dislodge by force and.....
the that was the big problem because governor is not
very popular and a lot of other civil organization
join to the teachers demanding the governor to leave
causing a lot of economic problems in the city
bussines close, hotels, restorants, etc due the rioting.
And now after 5 months of protest Federal Police is in stage

One word anarchy. Violence has been going on for sometime. Vincente Fox tried negotiation fearing spill over to another states. But, had to finally send in the military police last week when an American freelance journalist was killed.

That country is heading for civil war. So much corruption and empty promises from there politicians.
