What is the best beach vacation spot in Mexico? |
My husband and I have never been to Mexico, besides a small town along the border! What place/resort would you suggest staying at? We are 25 and 28 and would like to go to some fun nightlife clubs/bars, but nothing where it is too wild and crazy. Any suggestions? Also we are planning this out in about a years advance. When is the weather best? Is February a good time?

Puerto Vallarta is an excellent choice. Pretty mountains, lots to do and the Malecon is a great place to hit some bars at night. Cancun it fun too.Pretty beaches,lots of bars ect.I love the cobblestone streets, the malecon and shopping in P V. I love the beaches in Cancun.Always book an all- inclusive hotel and you only need tipping and spending money for the trip.Get your passport early.I don't think there is ONE best vacation spot because they have so many to choose from. My favorite small place to visit is Plya Del Carmen. It has beaches, great hotels and great shopping. |

If you go to Cancun, you can take a side trip to see the Mayan ruins at Chichen Itza. Mayan pyramids are not as big as the ones in Egypt, but they're better.
I'd stay at the Hidden Beach Resort if I went to Cancun. Wish I could!
Playa Sonrisa is a nice simple affordable and charming place, but it's located way down the Yucatan peninsula and is not as adjacent to Chichen Itza. |

You sound like perfect candidates for a stay at Playa Grande in Cabo San Lucas. There are great bars and restaurants nearby if you want to hit the town, and the hotel's location on the Pacific side makes it a quieter, cozier spot during the day than the Medano Beach hotels.
I typically bring $500 in USD/cash when I go there for a week. That covers lunch at the resort, dinner and drinks every night and a souvenir or two. I'm guessing you'd want to double that for the two of you, maybe a bit less if you aren't out at the bars every night like I am. : ) Have a blast! |

go to ixtapa, zihuatanejo! My husband and I visited there for our honeymoon,, and its beautiful in and out of the resorts..and its fun at night.. but not too crazy!! oh and not nearly as expensive as Cancun that is too commercialized |
