no the legal drinking age in mexico is 18. But its okay if you slip the bartender a $20 dollar bill, you'll be drinking the whole night!!!!!

I'm not sure what the official drinking age is, but I can tell you that they really don't care. Just be a good tipper- it doesn't take much. The people working here are very nice, especially if you are friendly with them and give them even $10 per day. Usually you'll have one person that will wait on you when you're around the pool. I know the last time I went, my guy, Alejandro, was very cool. As long as you treat them as your friend, not their servant, they're pretty accomodating.
You must also remember that pretty much the only place in the world that checks IDs to drink is the US

It's 18. Bahia Principe will give you a bracelet based on the day you are departing, not on your age. If you look like you are 17 they will most probably be nice and serve you beer. (By the way, good choice of hotel. Food is fantastic and the place is really nice. Booze, however is crappy so don't even bother asking for anything stronger than beer)
