$50 pesos, but it will depend on the machine. Typically it's a mix of 100/200/500s. Santander's machines will tell you on the opening screen what bills are available, and it varies according to what is currently available (not in a effort to make you take out more). |

I live in the state of Veracruz, and you can get 200 pesos out at the ATMs here. |

I have never gotten a 20 peso note. It's too small. It seems to vary. Sometimes I get a huge stack of 50 peso notes, sometimes I get nothing smaller than a 500 which is difficult to change.
They have a new 1000 peso note, but I've never seen one. |

I used an ATM in Cancun last month and got 50 pesos. (I got confused and didn't know if I was getting 50 dollars or 50 pesos, it was pesos!) |

well time ago it use to be 50 pesos but nowadays is 100 pesos and there are another that just would give you from 200 pesos |

It used to be $20 and you could retrieve in multiples of 20 but I believe it is now $50 pesos in most. However in some Banorte ATMs the minimum could be $200, they do this to force you into taking more money. |
