Dady rock and Dady-o are good places to go they play more 'current ' american music, as well as the beach club. CoCo Bongo is crazy, they have celebrity impersonators, and trapez people flying all over the club, but they play A LOT of older songs from like the mid 90's, but its a really good time!

There are clubs that play only alternative, other only rock, only dance-pop, regueton...
And there are many live music club to. You will have to ask for your hotel or go the clubs area and ask at the entrance of each club.

Ok, ppl that tells you you´ll find mariachis and mexican mucis at a nighclub are just showing their ignorance and that they havent been in another nightclub outside their country.
They play all sorts of music, like in all the nightclubs in the rest of the world. If you are looking for salsa and all tha sort of music, then there are special with those themes.
Ask the ppl in the desk of your hotel of more infomation about this places with that music.
