Mostly mexican. But they have other things too. Cancun was built to be a tourist area, so they have "american friendly" restaurants.

Cancun is a major tourist resort. You can find food fare from ANY country. It is, however, a port city so their access to fresh fish is fantastic. If you go to the Hotel Plaza Del Sol, you MUST try their sea bass! serrved with fresh orange and lemon sauce and melts in your mouth. Runs about 2.50 plus drinks. But do not get ice in your drinks to prevent Montezuma's revenge.

It is really common seafood of course... but you can find almost everything like chinese food... or italian food, but their speciality is seafood (shrimp, fish etc)
