What part of Mexico is best for honeymooners?

No kids, no crazy Cancun crowds...

Go to Playa Del Carmen. It is about 30 - 45 minutes south of Cancun. It is a more quiant town, not a party central at all. They have a 4 block stetch of just street shops you can shop at in town.

I stayed at the El Dorado Royale. It was all inclusive and best part was, no kids allowed in the resort! It was basically a bunch of honeymooners, vacationers. 7 excellant restaurants (and I'm a foody), there bars were good too (martini car, numerous beach side bars), service excellant throughout the resort. I plan on going back to that resort at some point after taking a few other trips elsewhere.

Try to find a resort on the west side of mexico, by the sea of cortez. I heard its beautiful. No crazy college kids to worry about. Try this http://www.innatloretobay.com/hotel/?utm_source=yahoo&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=resorts&utm_term=sea-of-cortez-resort

Staying in a bamboo cabana on the beach in Tulum is gorgeous! It's right by the mayan ruins and near a great xenote. Wherever you go, don't miss a good xenote! It's fun to stay in Tulum for a few nights which is about an hour or an hour and half bus ride from Cancun then after a few days head up to Isla Mujeres, a small island that's about a 15 minute ferry ride away from Cancun. It's a cute little island that you can explore by renting a golf cart and cruising around. I like to do this because you get the secluded part of your vacation in Tulum and then you get the small city in Isla Mujeres, plus Isla Mujeres is so close to Cancun which is easy when you need to get to the airport.

Playa del Carmen. Its about 30 miles from Cancun...but it is sooo nice! We went to Cancun 2 years ago and it was nasty...so we traveled a little further..paid some extra cash..but everything was just beautful. I figure everyone in cancun is to messed up to realize they is something much nicer a little bit down the road.

I'm going to Cancun for my Honeymoon in October, but we've been to the Riviera Maya which is south of Cancun. The resorts there are newer and very luxurious. Most of them are all inclusive so after you pay for your flights and rooms, it will include all your meals while at the resort, all your drinks, snacks, room service. Even if you get the least expensive room in the place they treat you like you are royalty. Perfect for a honeymoon. Plus if you feel like getting out for a while you still have all the Cancun activities because it is only like 45 minutes north. Here's some links to resorts and a place i wanted to go last time that i am definetly going to check out this time. I can't wait Mexico is my Fav place I've been to Acapulco, Cancun, Riviera Maya and Playa and Cabo San Lucas.
