I hear that if you're flying to Mexico they let you bring 2 enchiladas and a chihuahua. But that's only if you're going to Mexico. If you're flying to Afghanistan they'll most likely kill your dog and eat your dog. Your enchiladas should be fine. |

Take my advice: bring as little as possible--book, newpaper, glasses, walet--keep it to a minimum and you'll get by just fine.
I'd convert to pesos when you get to Mexico. |

you can bring anything on the plane aslong as its not sharp or dangerous...so no knives or guns
you also can't bring in anything gelly or liquid that is over 100ml. However you are allowed to bring in 1 ziploc bag of liquids/gels that are under 100ml. This is for like lipgloss, liquid eyeliner, foundations, perfume, lotion etc...
i've actually never been to mexico but i assume that many places accept US dollars... but convert some over prior to leaving jus in case
= ) hope I helped! |

some good advise from the other answers but for all the information you need about what you can and can't bring on the plane just go to your carriers web sight all airline sights have a section that plainly lists all the does and don'ts,,,
as far as exchanging money it would be to your advantage to get some pesos and be familiar with them,,you can use American dollars and in Cancun they will gladly accept them,,but to be honest you will probably overpay for what you buy and the odds of you getting the proper change from a purchase are very slim.
you can get pesos from most large banks though they usually need a week to get them,,i have found that my best friend in Mexico is my bank card,,as you can use the ATM there are plenty in Cancun and it will give you pesos while deducting in dollars from your acct. here at the correct exchange rate.
pesos are not that hard to understand and easy to use,,it's like that Sony commercial you know if sports are shot on a Sony shouldn't you watch a Sony,,well if products are marked for sale in pesos it makes sense to pay for them with pesos.
have fun |
