Starting a business in Mexico has a ton of bureaucracy connected to it. An Internet business where your clients are in the US works best. I know folks who live in Mexico who work as graphic artists and technical writers with state side clients. You need to have the experience level to attract clients willing to pay you for long distance services and it helps to have existing clients already using your services off site.

Shipping products from Mexico to the US or Canada has bureaucratic problems of its own. Realistically there are not a lot of honest businesses where you sit at your computer a few hours a day and rake in loads of money. They are what we fondly call scams.

As far as a Business. Another bunch of problems to deal with. Red tape and bribes and dealing with the govt.
I miss good American cooking. Fried chicken , BBQ , steak etc. I always thought to have a restaurant and serve this kinda food would be a great opportunity. Mexicans would visit it just like you visit a Mexican restaurant when you get the hankering

You can join the drug cartel. I hear that they pay pretty good, and they're expanding rapidly.
