Stacy

What would you say if someone ask you how is Mexico?

One of my friends asked me how is Mexico? because she know I visited Tijuana. I said it is dirty, old and shabby.

I would say Tijuana IS dirty, old and shabby.... BUT that MOST of Mexico is beautiful, wondrous, fascinating, full of history and wonderful, warm people, that there are many aspects to the country and many different areas to explore and learn about. Please, don't judge Mexico by what you saw in Tijuana!!!!!

Your answer is offensive and you should have said TJ is very dirty, old and shabby. (which is true) It is very unfair to judge any country off of one town. Compare New York City,NY to Glenwood, IA, its not a fair comparison. I personally would would have said......Mexico is a country where people are taught to fend for themselves, most people are hard workers and most have strong family values. Culture is a very strong bond that each town has of its own, it has bad government but huge possibilities. Beautiful and a great place to live if you have a viable way to make money and live. Things are actually more relaxing there. Its cheap compared to the states but the pay is horrible and there is no one living off of well fare, but a lot of kids not getting a good education because of the cost of simple elementary. Things we take for granted here are a blessing there, but things we take as a blessing here is typical culture there. (such as a close family)

Border towns like Tijuana do not represent the rest of Mexico. If a person from a foreign country visits the worst slums in L.A., do you think they should judge all of the United States by what that one location is like? Border towns are dirty, ugly, shabby, dry, dusty. Other areas in Mexico are filled with very beautiful cities, great mountain scenery, lush forests and fields. Of course there are poor areas..as in every country. You cannot visit one town and judge an entire country.

You can answer the way it is... Mexico is a beautiful country that has it's own problems like any country, but you can find really beautiful places, beaches, and attractions, peolpe is fiendly and it can be very affordable to take a vacation.

Mexico is a fabulous country, a truly cultural representation of the New World development. Tijuana is a poor relative, so far from historical sites and the seat of government. Its dirty and shabby but not that old. It hasn't enjoyed the disneyfication of 20th century tourist spots such as Cancun and others on the Yucatan riviera.

Tijuana is a busy commercial center, minutes from the US border, tourism is limited to the downtown streets with shops that range from outlets for Chinese made trinkets to high end couture and rowdy cantinas. It appears that your world view is limited, you should get out more. See the suburbs of Paris or the Italian railroad towns so you will know what old, dirty and shabby really looks like.

Well, you're obviously very narrow minded if you judge an entire country because of one ugly city. Yes, Tijuana sucks and some other border cities as well, but so does the Bronx area in NYC and no one can say that the rest of the USA is the same, right???? You need to travel A LOT more before you can start having a REAL, objective opinion about the places you visit. Mexico is beautiful even though it has ugly towns and poor areas.....

yeah tijuana is ugly, poor and dirty, but some parts of Tij are like that....i have a friend that lives in a area that the houses cost $500,000 U.s dollars, and its a gated area,4 big houses in that location, his house, the mayor of tij, owner of a huge chain of food store's and i think a huge drug dealer lives their, not 2 much known of him, anyways! Im getting side tracked...but mexico does have very poor states and citys! Trying going to Monterrey Nuevo Leon...very beautiful city...if u ever go their u'll b surprised that ur in mexico...very modern! Then their is Guadalajara mexico...another modern city...also beautiful and full of culture! And their is Mexico City...alot of money their like in Monterrey but has alot of violence! How about Cancun? Dont think that place is dirty and ugly, probably the beautifuliest place in mexico! Thiers alot of places their that r beautiful....not tijuana! jajajjaj! AVoid that place...just drive by their! jajajaj!
