I'm mexican and I'd say Cancun and Guadalajara.
First of all Cancun is one of the best beaches in the world.
Guadalajara is an urban city, the second biggest in Mexico and it's known to have one of the best weathers in the world. Also Guadalajara is known to be the "most mexican city" because of the culture that it has such as Tequila, Mariachi, etc.

Tiajuana. I went there with my brother and my mom when I was 17. We got so pasted that I do not remember the bus ride home. Best trip ever. We were in San Diego to begin with but went to TJ for the experience |

I go to Mexico for the weather, sun, food and beach. My choices are Cancun, Cozumel and Riviera Maya. (Yucatan state) I also like Los Cabos and Puerto Vallarta. It depends what you like to do. If you are into sight seeing than I would have to say the Tulum area. The Mayan ruins are popular tourist sights.
Maybe more details about what and how you would like to spend your vacation. Relaxing, sight seeing, diving, snorkeling or visiting family.

Two friends spent two weeks in a Mexican prison on bull s*#t charges. That steaming pile of crap named Mexico should be wiped off the earth.
