Whats up with hispanic girls dressing provocative ?

I see it all the time here in the states. Mexican parents walking around with their little girl, sometimes only 9-10 years old or younger, wearing little heels, very short skirts, and looking like a 20 year old would dress in a nightclub......is this a cultural thing ? Why doesn't it bother the parents to have their daughter dressed so provocative ?

My boyfriend is Mexican and I have never seen any of the girls in his family or extended family dressed in a provocative manner. Especially not the little girls.

As for Hispanic women dressing provocatively, perhaps it's because they've been raised to be proud and accepting of their bodies. They have a positive self image, so they aren't afraid to show their bodies off.

YOU ARE SO WRONG, IN MEXICO, FAMILIES KEEP THEIR DAUGHTERS VERY PROTECTIVE, AND NO ITS NOT CULTURAL, WHAT ABOUT HERE IN THE STATES, GIRLS IN MIDDDLE SCHOOL LOOK HOW THEY DRESS, IN MEX, A GOOD FAMILY WILL NOT ALLOW TO GO OUT WITH A BOY UNTIL 16, SO DONT JUDGE A COUNTRY LIKE YOU HAVE, START LOOKING AT HOME, SORRY TO BE SO UPSET, BUT THIS QUESTION DID MAKE ME FEEEL INSULTED, WE THE AMERICANS JUDGE EVERYNE, WHO ITS NOT FROM US, THATS WHY WE ARE NOT VERY WELCOME IN MANY COUNTRIES, IN THE US THERE ARE MORE TEEN PREGNANCIES THSAN IN MEX. DOWN IN MEX, DRUG USE IS OT AS BAD AS HERE, WE THE US HAVE MORE COMSUMPTION OF DRUGS, WE EVEN GIVE THEM ARS SO STOP JUDGING O AND BY THE WAY, THE ANSWERS BEFRE MINE TWO THINGS, MEXICO IS NOT SOUTHAMERICA, AND TWO ITS NOT A CULTURAL THING.

It is just a parent thing, not all parents are like that, but there are plenty of parents of any cultural heritage that dress their children like that. As for why any parent would dress their children like that, I have no idea. I wouldn't if I had any children.

It depends on the family, if you were to go to Mexico, they don't dress like that. And I have seen many cultures dressed like that, but it seems more provocative because of the type of bodies they have

Curious
I don't think its just the Mexicans.

Maybe its in their genes.

Well, I definitely believe it is cultural. Girls grow up fast in this culture, when they have their Quinceañera(turn 15) they have come to adulthood, it is like a Bat Mitzvah for Jewish boys and girls. So maybe, parents just think it's cute, or they are making them grow up too fast. Your not the only one who notices it though.

urajerk
im not sure if youve noticed, but a lot of many different cultures do that. plus, keep in mind its hot as hell down in south america
