When is the day of the dead in Mexico?

I'm doing a muli-cultural presentation about the Dia de los Muertos and want to focus on the Mexican tradition of it. I've looked at many websites and some say it's Oct. 31- Nov. 2, others say it's Nov. 1-2. Any facts or ideas you can provide would be appreciated. I want it to be a party type presentation but need to include as many facts as possible. I have about 20 minutes to do the whole thing so I can't include it all. Also, if you know what they wear and what treats they provide. Thanks in advance.

I'm not a very good Mexican but I know it's the day after Halloween, which is Nov. 1. You decorate the grave of your loved one or put up a shrine in your home with flowers and pictures and offerings for the dead. It's like a big party celebrating those who have died who are coming to visit. People make sugar skulls and bread (pan de muerto) and some dress up like skeletons to make the dead feel at ease and welcome them.

Typically on November 1 (All Saints' Day) and November 2 (All Souls' Day).

November 1-2.

The 1st is all saints day and the 2nd is all soul's day.

El Primero de Noviembre.

Also, this time a year, a lot of the Mexican bakeries make these round circular pieces of bread called "Pan De Muerto". It's not as sugary as their normal bread but it's delicious....
