Stop stereotyping. It isn't and hasn't been like that for a long time. It's like saying to an American....Where are the cowboys and indians? or Why are you Americans such war-mongers? (Second answer is that it's the government, not us) |

That's a stereotypical view of Mexicans. Now days most Hispanics like to wear cowboy hats instead. The only time in my 22 years to see someone wearing a sombrero has been a charro wearing one while singing. As far as the mustache it varies from person to person. And as for drinking tequila-anyone can appreciate a fine shot of tequila. |

Those are not "real Mexicans", that is the stereotype given through the images of the Mexican Revolution. Nowadays you will not find anybody wearing stupid tourist sombreros or mustache. Retarded you... |

Just in your imagination. Mexico is not anymore the country you have seen in the movies.
There are huge cities too, great malls, new cars and good people too.
Maybe you can find people drinking and using drugs in San Pedro St. at Los Angeles, Ca. |

Haven't seen a real wide brim sombero except in the arts and craft stores. If you want to see real Mexicans in the "sombero" of choice, mostly cowboy hats, boots and jeans, even horses tied up outside, go to Magana's in Vieja La Mision Baja California at the bridge...a nice small family run restaurant and bar. Some very artistic mustaches too. By the way, the hat often signifies the state where the person is from...lots from Michoacan and Sinaloa in these parts. |
