If you have a more specific Mexican travel destination in mind, you can search more easily for directions online. For example, Rocky Point (Puerto Penasco) has its own web site. |

Mapquest is great it will give you great directions... their directions are detailed, from the number of turns to the number of stoplights. |

If you or someone you know belongs to AAA. When we drove to Mexico City, we called and told them some of the things we wanted to see and do along the way and we also asked for the fastest way too. About a week later I picked up maps with routs in color showing both ways we asked about. They did a VERY good job and it didn't cost us anything. Good luck. |

Go to www.sct.gob.mx, chose 'traza tu ruta' and follow instructions. It works with cities within Mexico,but you cand start at a border point and set your desination.
Have to put the state (estado) and city (ciudad)

Driving to Mexico is not always the best thing to do if you are unfamiliar with the route you are taking. I'm not only saying this because you might pass by somewhere you shouldn't pass by, but also because there are a little bit of signs and directions in Mexico. Speaking Spanish helps a lot, so if you don't know Spanish or not enough, I wouldn't suggest it... Anyways, have fun! |
