There's a lot to see & do in MC but it is a teeming, crowded, polluted city. So the "best place" for you to visit in Mexico will be influenced by your travel budget and your preferences for activities, sights, etc. MC would be a good place to begin, but there are other places in Mexico worth seeing as well. If you like "Florida transplanted" south of the border, then go to Cancun. For a little more atmosphere in a beach resort area, try the west coast - Puerto Vallarta, Acapulco are examples of older resort areas. If spectacular scenery is what you're looking for, take a train ride through Copper Canyon. There's something for every taste in Mexico.
Buen viaje!

Well Ive been to Acapulco which is a city of about three million people and is an old haunt in the glory days of the fifties of playboy Americans but its a bit scruffy now.
If I wereyou Id go to Cancun Ive been there also (where havent I been lol.) because you can get bussed to the ancient ruins of Chichenitza a Mayan civilisation thats been swallowed by jungle. Plus there's hoards of giant iguanas that chase you , ands the beach is alot better that side as its the gulf coast.

That totally depends on what you want to do. If your idea of Mexico is seeing lots of cultural sights, eating Mexican food and really getting the feel of the country, nothing can beat Mexico City. The pyramids, catherdral, zocalo, museums, and restaurants are really worth the visit. (Plus transportation is easy on the subway) On the other hand, if you want to sip a margarita on the beach, then you need to look at one of the many resort cities.

Mexico is a great place with many things to see. Yes Mexico city is a great city full of culture and a bussiness of people not seen in anymother city in the Americas. There is somthing there for everyone. I sugest taking the Turibus when you get ther so that you can get familliar with the city and its great history.

Depends on what you are looking for. If you are thinking on vacations the Riviera Maya in Quintana Roo, is a great place to visit...this is in Cancun, Playa del Carmen, Tulum and nearby towns.
