Continental Villas Plaza
it is in an excellant location, in the center of the island... easy to get transportation (bus or taxi)... the place is huge and has something for everyone... there are restaurants and clubs across the street for easy nights as well... they offer various types of rooms (hotel building, townhomes & direct on ocean villas...)...
I stayed there in a villas... had a hard time finding our room so we went back to the front desk and they walked us back to the room and turns out it was incredible... we had to enter our room through a sliding glass door right from the ocean sand... it was magical.... |

I have been to Mexico (Riviera Maya) 3 times, this is my experience.
Xcaret resort is very nice. I went for my honeymoon. The park is awesome. Good food and drinks. Off the beaten path, small. Not a very nice beach in the resort, but the park makes up for it.
Colonial Palladium was very nice too. Much bigger. Good drinks, so so food. Nice beach. Great spa!! Salt-water pool is neat. Good snorkeling off the beach.
I did not care for the Moon Palace, unless you’re a big golfer.
All are reasonably priced.

Go to Cosumel
El Cozumeleno Beach Resort All Inclusive, we had the best time it was safe and the people were so nice check it out. I have been there 3 times and plan to go back this year. |

Just came back Monday...we stay at the Krystal....it is right in the top of the hotel zone...so you are very close to food, shopping and it is right on the Caribbean ...so you only have to walk out the door....has pools etc... |

Krystal is a good choice.
Right down town....not an all inclusive...if there are three of you going you may want to get and all inclusive.
If I were you I would do a on the beach resort. |

Westin Resort & Spa, Royal Solaris, Hilton Cancun, Omni, Marriott Casa Magna, JW Marriott, Ritz Carlton just to name a few...
