I love this question! I've been to all of them a few times! Don't waste your free tickets on Vegas - you can go there anytime on a cheap charter package.
AHHH, Mexico...
Cancun: beaches, nightlife, Mayan ruins/tours and an "Americanized" city.
Acapulco: Large city at the base of the mountains, nice hotel/tourist zone, good fishing (Mmarlin & sailfish), the cliff-diving is something to see.
Mazatlan: Decent nightlife, relax on the beach; not much for tours but Great fishing.
Ixtapa/Zihuatanejo is my personal favorite: Very scenic, great food, perfect climate, decent nightlife,Top 5 in the world for sailfish. |

Well it depends what you like to do on vacation. You like gambling, excitment, women ect.. VEGAS. If you want some great culture and beaches Mazatlan or Acapulco. Cancun is a little to toursity for my taste. To built up and crowded. My choice would be acapulco, but only because I have been to Vegas many times. |

cancun- there are lots of tourist attractions there (underground river, pyramids, white beaches), many resturaunts and beach hotels (moon palace)
las vegas- if u gamble alot, have money to stay in a nice hotel, and like to buffet, this is a good choice. otherwise, its just going around the strip and looking at the attractions (dancing fountains, m & m world, volcano, white tigers) |

If you really like the idea of Mazatlan, Cancun or Acapulco you might want to set your sights on Belize. You would need to acquire a passport, but you have the advantage of native English to off set that. White beaches, turquoise waters that are a divers or snorkelers paradise, rain forests, howler monkey preserve, and the second longest barrier reef in the world. It's my favorite destination. |

Mazaltlan: Great place, beautiful beaches and excellent food
Acapulco: A classic you will love that will accomodate all budgets...don´t miss Puerto Marques and the little local restaurants, they look like **** but the food is awesome.
Cancun: Neverending things to do for everybody: archeological site seeing, eco-tourism, nightlife, great dining, scuba-diving, short trips to Riviera Maya, etc.
Welcome to Mexico!!! |

Wow! That's awesome that you won free plane tickets. As long as there are no restrictions on your tickets, I would go for the location that costs the most to travel to. If you're from the US, depending on where you live, it may be less expensive for you to go to Vegas than Mexico. In that case, I would use the free tickets to go to Mexico and save the less expensive trip for another time. I think it also depends on what kind of vacation you're looking for. A trip to Mexico is best reserved for a nice, relaxing trip spent lounging at the beach and sipping margaritas. Las Vegas has a lot of stuff going on with the casinos, shows, shopping, clubbing, etc...
Either way, I don't think you can go wrong at any of these locations! Just do a little research and pick the place that offers what you're looking for. Even the different Mexican cities all offer different things. Good luck! |
