Where should we stay in Mexico for our honeymoon?

My fiance and I will be married in September. We are looking for an all-inclusive resort in a non-spring break atmosphere. We have never been to Mexico & we're just looking for a relaxing, romantic, and beautiful resort. Someone has suggestion Riviera Maya and Cozumel. Any opinions?!

Oh, and should we book soon or wait for last minute deals?

Mexico is a great place to honeymoon. In my opinion it has the best all-inclusive resorts.
I like the Palace resorts and the Rui resorts in the Cancun, Plays del Carmen and Cozumel area. Spring break usually occurs in March and April. So you are safe there.

I would start my research now so you know what the prices are. There will be deals but not until summer. The prices come down when the demand is low. Right now it's still high season. Usually mid-April, May and June are considered shoulder season. The next season is hurricane season June 1- Nov 30th. I mention this because you need to take precautions and take out travel insurance as a back up plan.

Do your research
http://www.tripadvisor.com (a good site for resort reviews)
http://applevacations.com (a good site for price shopping)

I would go to a travel agency once you have an idea where you like to honeymoon and how much you want to spend. The reason I suggest this is because they have contacts you don't have. They can do more for you and you have a person to call if you need help once you get to your destination.
We are going to Cancun in May and our travel agent was cheaper than everyone and we saved over $200 dollars.

Good Luck and Congratulations on your upcoming wedding!!!

Cabo San Lucas is a good place. I haven't been there, but my parents have. My mom loves to take pictures and she brought a lot back. It is a beautiful place. The scenery is just amazing, and the water is so blue and clear. It's just amazing. I wanted to go after they came back. They also have really good food. Especially this one place for breakfast. My mom said the fruits were always sweet and fresh everyday. The people are also very freindly. As for booking it, I don't think you have to book it soon, but I don't think you should wait until the last minute. Also do to the expensiveness of flight prices you might not want to wait until the last minute.I hope this will help you some

You can try the Barcelo Maya Beach Resort:

Well, i wouldn't choose Mexico for a honeymoon. But try Ensenada or Puerto Vallarta . Both are tourist places, and very nice.

I say you try riviera maya or Mazatlan. Im from there the place is great people are friendly & its afortable. They have great hotels, great nightlife, great restaurants. ITS simply great. You might also want to try Los Cabos thats afortable too. Not as nice because its a lot smaller but still a good option. As far as booking i say do it asap. Everything gets more expensive as the days get closer. Good luck, have fun & enjoy your honeymoon... ;)
