Where to go in Mexico?

Looking for a place to go in mexico on the beach but not in a touristy area, not cancun or cozumel, or puerto vallarta, someplace you can get the local feel. but on the beach, not touristy, where you could rent a small house

We love Zehuateneo...I think I spelled it wrong, but it's very near Ixtapa. A wonderful find...seaside and quaint with original buildings, wonderful food and not touristy. We flew into Ixtapa and took the local bus the rest of the way. Wonderful!

here is a great website that owners from all over the world rent their homes and condos. Very reliable. Hopefully you will find the perfect place to rent in Mexico.

What about Baja?.... round the west coast San Felipe, "Cortés Sea". Surroundings very quiet and peaceful places.... Nice weather, nice beaches and nice dawns.......

Go to Rocky Point, also known as Puerta Penasco. It is about a 2 hour drive from Tuscon. It is on the ocean, it is a bit touristy, but nothing like those other places. It is just touristy enough that you can find people who speak English and it feels somewhat "safe" being in a foreign country, and they take dollars. If you want to avoid tourists, just don't go during spring break. It's a madhouse.

Ok I would go to Chetumal...Its not very touristy but its on the Belize...(they speak english) border and you could walk up an down the boulevard...VERY nice..Hang out in a hammock and relax from the every day hustle bustle the US has to offer...I am going again in June July...Its very relaxing....There is also a place called la laguna de siete colores (lagoon of seven colors) its about 20 minuted from there and there is also th4e ruins its pretty nice...Remember to take you sun creamn with yoo to mexico wherever you go....Also if your flying you will need a passport now...

Have Fun~
