Which Hotel in Puerto Vallarta?

Hey, look. I am going to PV march 12-15. I'ts on my honey moon. My friend was in El Tropicana which he recommended very much. I checked it out on the web, and I like it to. but the price I found was for $1,180 pesos (about $105.00 USD) For my budget it is kinda high thinking that it is motel only. What I like is that it is Ocean front, and the room is with Ocean view. Is there anybody who could recommend anything comparing to El Tropicana that is with a lower price. If it was for that price all inclusive, i'd have less of a problem with that. Thankyou

First off, congrats! My wife and I stayed at the Royal de Cameron last year on our honeymoon. I do not know where the El Tropicana is located. Check out the Royal de Cameron, it is all inclusive, very nice place, nothing fancy, just really nice. I would say if that price is all inclusive, not bad. Last year we spent about $2300.00 usd for the both of us. ( one week) Check into it and enjoy sunny Mexico!

I stayed at a hotel called Playa Los Arcos (or just Los Arcos). It was all inclusive (the only way to go- free food and drinks) and it had a nice charm.I was also beachfront with the pool, hot tub, outdoor bar, daily activities. I don't recall how much it was nightly, but the whole trip- 7 days, 6 nights/hotel/airfare/spending money was $1500 a person. Not that bad. The key is definatly all inclusive. It saves hundreds!! Congrats! Enjoy!

i recommend the "hola vallarta", (qualton), its in the north zone, 5 min from the town, small hotel but have spa, gym, tennis, nice rooms, and excellent cousine, its all inclusive and have a nice beach view,..... try to search information about this hotel..

Try Hotel Rosita. Stayed there last March. Its at the Northern End of the Boardwalk and is Ocean front. They have a website but you can book thru Yahoo travel for a week i was looking to go again to that same place for $ 860 +- for the week. Not fancy but does have the old time mexican feel. Good people were there running it then. The Boardwalk you can spend hours walking back and forth on day and night. Street entertainment. Fireworks from the pirates ship. And of course bars and eating places.

There is one in Bucerias (10 minutes away from Puerto Vallarta) on the beach called Costa Dorada. Great Hotel. I recomend you try the restuarant Los Helechos wich is two blocks from the hotel going away from the beach. If you do go, ask them about their hummingbirds.

There's no doubt about it stay at Villa del Palmar- Flamingos hotel! You will not regret it. The rooms, service, value and cleanliness is top of the line. Have a great time!

I think if you shop around, you can find a deal at Paradise village. I can't say enough good things about this place, great food ( you used to be able to go European plan or All-inclusive) great service and a beautiful location!!
