Hi, having stayed in a variety of hotels in the city, I would recommend two hotels that I have thoroughly enjoyed.
First and foremost to answer your question, the Four Seasons Mexico City is the nicest hotel in Mexico City, and is also probably one of the pricier ones. This is a great place to stay if you're visiting, it has excepional customer service and is conveniently located comfortably close to many tourist attractions.
If you're going for business, I recommend El Presidente Intercontinental. This large chain of high end hotels probably has one of it's nicest, if not nicest hotel in Mexico City. It host dozens of very distinguished guests that are in the city on business. It tailors to discriminating tastes, and has quite nice amenities. This too is located in a very nice part of town located comfortably by several tourist attractions.
There are many other small hotels and boutique hotels that tailor to both extremes, very businessy and come equipped with personal assistants for the day, and there are those that are very plush and come accompanied with butler, maids and chauffer for the day to make the most of your stay. But I would prefer the Four Seasons
If you think this helps, I'd appreciate ten points, thanks. |

I'd recommend you stay in a hotel down town (the Historical center), the spot is so beautiful you will not even step in the hotel. |

Oh c'mon......there are a bunch of world class hotels in Mex City...world travelers know that......and it is hard to decide which one is better.
For a cool and chic vacation i like Hotel Habita:
http://www.hotelhabita.com/
The crowd is around their late 20s and early 30s and super cool partys are usual on its pool and bar. The hotel concept is all about fashion and design.
Another nice Hotel, is Hotel W Mexico City:
http://www.starwoodhotels.com/whotels/property/overview/index.html?propertyID=1444
Businessmen and young executives are some of the clients that usually stay here.
Four Seasons Mexico City.
http://www.fourseasons.com/mexico/
Majestic and Luxury at its best.
Of course, there are crappy hotels too......(and believe me crappy hotels here can scare you haha).....we are still an emerging country (or third world country) , but if you dont find any decent hotel here, is becuase you didnt made a good search...or...my friend....maybe these kind of hotels are totally out of budget....... |

probably it would be best to look up the hotels on the yahoo database. there will be ratings. you can also call, but it would be best to go with your gut feeling based on the ratings. |

Hope my face gives you hell
