Caribbean side is better for snorkling and SCUBA--the water's clearer. On the Pacific coast, the rainy season washes mud out of the hills, making the water brown. |

The Caribbean side is amazing. The caribbean sea is amazing and a perfect blue. The climate is tropical. Cancun is amazing and there is so much to do. Also an hour drive from Cancun in Playa Del Carmen is the Chichén Itzá! One of the modern wonders of the world. Definately worth a visit. Also excellent beach, nightlife, activities. Cancun has everything!! Me and my boyfriend actually ended up in a pit of crocodiles when we were there. (We were on an adventure holiday) The caribbean side has everything. Mexico city is more for the mexicdan residents. It's more authentic Mexico if that's what you want out of the holiday but not really for tourists as much. |

Take a cruise out of LA. and do the Baja tour that takes you around Baja and up to Puerto Vallarta. Do not actually go to Mexico it is unsafe and very dirty. Lots of crime and drug killings lately. Google Mexico and news if you want to see what I mean. At least on a cruise, you are on a boat most of the time. |
