(you've probably never been have you?) why do people get killed in montreal, toronto, vancouver...? do you think canada is a violence-free country? do you think tourists have never been hurt in canadian cities? you need to drop your hateful bigotry and your superiority complex. mexico, and any other major tourist destination for Canadians and Americans are constantly exposed to arrogant judgement from people like you- stay in Canada!!

I think the best answer is..dot not come here...

Mexico is a beautiful country and have great vacations landscapes..but as every country, there is crime and violence. the difference is that when a Foreigner gets killed, it receives a lot of media coverage.

when a person is killed in LA or NYC, there is not big deal. when a high school student kills 6 or 12 other students or teachers, there is no big deal, but when a foreigner is drug dealing and is killed by the mexican mafia...wooow, there is a big deal..

you've had to live here to understand this...but, if your afraid...you better do not come here..

i think, without the purpose of ofending any of you guys that mexico is a country where most drugs is trafficked...and US and Canada where the most drug is consumed..so is both countries problem, not just ours..

I suppose that people get killed in Mexico for the same unfortunate reasons as everywhere else - senseless violence.
I lived in Mexico for two years and didn't find it particularly foul smelling nor did I witness very much violence. I think you must have it mistaken for somewhere else.
