This question obviously does not apply in general or else you will be making a fallacy.The make-up of a person depends on their genes not the location of their home. I recommend you visit Mexico more often cities like: Monterrey, Hermosillo, Cuilacan, La Paz, Guadalajara etc. You'll be very surprise.
To be fair and answer your question even though I disagree I would argue the following. The Mexican-Americans in the US tend to have a more fast food diet. As you might know fast food has plenty of conservatives and hormones and makes one gain weight.
Last,when you make future comparisons please compare evenly. For instance, compare a US labor worker with a Mex labor worker. US executive worker with a Mex executive worker. The reason why I mentioned this is because (as you could image) a field workers appearance might not be as blossom as an office employee. |

It is true that wealthy mexicans (or at least not-so-poor) are taller than the average mexicans.
It is a fact.
Usually, mexicans that migrate to USA are from the poor population, so they are shorter than the average! but their children are, as a matter a fact, taller!

Mexico is a diverse country of many different ethnicities and races. The higher and middle classes of society are usually of white european ancestry, while the lower classes are mostly indians. Most multigenerational Mexican Americans are of this European ancestry as well, while most of the illegal immigrants are of indian heritage , indians are usually much shorter, often referred to condescendingly as "Oaxaquillas" in reference to Oaxaca state, which is mostly indian. |

I think its because we dump all our old prescriptions down the toilet into our drinking water. Thus, our water has tons of chemicals in it that the water sanitation systems can't filter out. |
