Field hockey is popular with girls, today I saw some young kids, male, playing roller hockey. Ice hockey is a very spendy sport because there are very few ice rinks that let people practice hockey. |

Mexico land! I guess our northern neighbor is Canada Land.
I guess part of it is the popularity of soccer and baseball, like some have said, but weather must also be a factor. Look at some of the countries where hockey is popular. Most of these have icy weather on at least some parts of their lands, for at least an extended period of time.
I've never seen snow or ice in Tijuana. |

they have ice rinks in the major malls in mexico. if you want to get technical...hockey isn't cheap, you need the equipment and stuff. for soccer, all you need is the ball and a flat area to play...no real money or investment required. it's the people's sport. |
