The town gets many tourist, many who come from Mexico City on buses a day trip. I have little interest in silver, but like Taxo very much. It is at it's best at night.

Taxco is a colonial city with great churches and baroque architecture. There used to be silver mines in the area (and still are) and that's why jewelry is so accessible and popular.
