Why many latino and spanish people hates RBD?

My guess is there's a ton of people doing their best to communicate how much they dislike RBD, instead of just letting it go. "live and let live"

RBD as a group is also blamed of being too 'commercial' and yet another TV product from Televisa (a broadcasting company in Mexico, whose bonuses are not that high nowadays).

RBD for years has been a top band in the Americas, but not for everybodyÂ´s taste. Either you like them or hate them.

RBD's music has no Latin flavor to it. I don't like the sound of their voices some of them sound too high pitched. The singers can't harmonize either. I really don't like them. I have friends from every race and my Hispanic friends don't like them neither,l but my friends that are not Hispanic say that RBD is OK. But like I said I don't like them and I'm Hispanic.

I'm mexican and I HATE RBD very much, I really don't like their music, they don't even sing good. Its just a prefabricated fake "band". I really don't get everyone going crazy about them.

I'm American, not latino, but I LOVE latin music. Except RBD. They are terrible! Their voices are so shrill and the music is just strange. Can't stand them. Try listening to some Calle 13, or wean yourself slowly by listening to Camila. Camila's voices are rather shrill, too, but for some reason they don't bother me like RBD.

I am Mexican, and i despise RBD, they are manufactured reality-pop. they derived from a teen soap opera. totally fake.

Because it's a product not a band.
It has a guy guy and most mexicans are not used to gay people.
They can't make their own music.

I agree with MuchachoLatino, I am not Latino but but lived on the border with Mexico

I'm not a fan of RBD, but I do like a few songs.

Many people don't like the group because it's prefabricated from a soap opera based on rich kids wanting to become a pop band that thinks they're so rebellious and stuff.

The actress Dulce Maria is a very poor singer. Her singing has improved from the times she played in Clase 406, but her voice is so nasal and annoying. Sherlyn is a far better singer (and a very nice person BTW, I know people who met her and she's not conceited or anything whereas Dulce Maria is a real b****).

I personally have a beef against the theme song of the band: "Yo soy rebelde porque no escucho a los demÃ¡s" (I'm a rebel because I don't listen to anyone else). The theme of the song is nice and stuff, except that they aren't rebels. They all dress in skimpy skirts I would never wear, all act the same, earn a lot of cash and don't donate the cash to humanitarian causes, act like pompous jerks, none of them seem to act like non popular types (no mathletes in the group, I wonder why).. and to top it all, they say they are a rebel group, but they just use rebel as a marketing ploy, it's not sincere. That annoys me.

Many mexicans will defend their underground rock groups with their souls. Many mexicans even hate Cafe Tacuba believe it or not because they think the group is too commercial. Dunno, I've met several band memebers because they live in my area and they're pretty normal people. People simply hate Satelukos for some reason.

many don't like them just because they think RBD is a "plastic group" most of them like rock or any other genre that is not pop music and it's not just RBD, but every pop band sometimes. i think that there are many music genres just because everyone likes different things if you like them is okay i am mexican and i like them and the majority of people i know also like them.
