The voltage is 100-240v my only worry is that I`ve had a laptop blow in the past due to a problem with voltage. Will I have any problems charging this laptop?
You will be able to use the electricity if you can plug into the source. You will need an adapter, and you can see the type that we have in North America in the below URL. Mexico is in North America.
I carry a small kit that connects me into any socket in the work, and then I also carry a 5 connector power strip.
This is my help from Washington, D.C. United States of America.
Please pick an answer as the best answer, even if it is not mine.

The voltage in Mexico is the same as the United States (110v). So if it wouldn't work in the US without an adapter, then it won't work in Mexico.
Frankly I don't think you'll have a problem though. All you need is an outlet converter, an adapter shouldn't even be necessary. I charged my US laptop in France with a converter only (didn't use an adapter) and I didn't have any problems (but I did not charge anything else in fear of a 'blow'). I would imagine that plugging a machine made for higher voltage into an outlet with less voltage would be a lot less risky than vice versa.. but I'm not an electrician either.

Yes!!! in Mexico electricity is by 120 V.
Hearty
Whether Monica is correct or not you will need to bring a surge protector due to fluctuations in voltage in most places in Mexico.
We have no problem with our laptops (Canadians) with charging; we also use a surge protector.

you will need an adaptor,a good one as well nothing cheap.they tend to overheat, and blow and can even catch fire be careful what one you choose could damage your pc as well.
