Yes, but I don't know about the "living like a king" bit. If you go clubbing often, the money will disappear fast. Will you have a car too? Taxis are fairly cheap and ubiquitous in GDL, but if you take several of them a day, it can add up. Just keep an eye on your finances and don't assume that it will last.

you would live the life of a king

You could live like a king

for a good living you can expend around of 2000.00 so you have 1300.00 more for luxury things is very cheap in comparsion....with the cost of the living in the states..

you wont live like a king but you will get by pretty good.
i dont get people that say living in mexico is cheap...food is still expensive and clothes is too, especially in bigger cities.

Are u going to pay rent? Rent in a nice apartment is about 600 to 1000 dollars, living in a bigger city in any mexican city cost more, lifestyle, clothe, restaurants. But 3300 is more then enough, people make less tghen that and make it comfortably. i go to gdl once a month, know people their and FAMILY. Question, sorry to be nosy, why would u to move gdl anyways

frisco415
You can rent a nice house in "puerta de hierro" (which is one of the best gated communities in Guadalajara) for about two thousand dollars, set a side six hundred for food and utilities (you wont pay that much), and you still have money left over. Starting pay for a school teacher in Mexico is about five hundred dollars a month and they support a family; so you should be fine.
