There is a chance you could see the cockpit, before flight depending on your age. That is the factor. Mainly, if your a child flying alone, but then again as one person written due to post 911 homeland security that may even be questionable. Only other option is if your related to someone is on the flight crew, and this means the head honcho the pilot. That is the captain who makes the final decision who comes near the cockpit. If you could get him to say "yes". Welcome to the seat on flight. ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE AS LONG AS YOUR SINCERE, AND YOUR INTENTIONS ARE HONORABLE. |

Due to 9/11 security, they will not let you in the cockpit before or during a flight. However, if you ask the attendant, they will let you stay after the plane lands and everyone leaves. If they have time (not in a big hurry to get on another flight) the pilots are usually very nice and will let you sit in their chairs and look at all the controls and explain it to you. |
