Would you recommend Cancun for New Year? |
It is my 21st birthday two days before New Years Eve 2008/2009 and am thinking of spending it and new years in Cancun.
Is it a good time to visit? Whats the weather like? I want it to be busy in the bars and clubs etc :-D |

Come on down!!! Cancun is wonderful for New Years. You will have a blast. Everybody is out for New Years. The bars and clubs will be hopping. The weather is perfect....not too hot....not too cold. You will Love It!! |

Yes, but make your reservation way in advance. I personally prefer the less touristy places, but it seems that your niche will be in Cancun. Take a day trip to Uxmal or Chichen Itza if you have the time. Merida is also an interesting visit, which you can see in a day or two. |

This time of year is quite busy in the clubs, bars and restaurants, as well as Cancun area tours. I recommend you book the tours in advance because they have been known to sell out during busy holiday seasons.
The temperatures can be quite nice during the day, but at night the air temps can drop to the lower 60s F, so you might bring along a light sweater just in case. Water temps tend to be on the chilly side because of the turbulent seas during hurricane season. Don't worry because hurricane season ends in November.

UM YES! i was there this new years and it was amazing!
esp for turning 21 i think thatd be sweet cause its like a legal drinking for everywhere bday and you can celebrate all inclusive hah
i think for my 21st id go to vegas though. cause then you can gamble, show off that you can drink legally and vegas is always a party.. plus its hot just like cancun!
cancun on new years= a lot of people. the hotels have parties and shows. the weather was nice for us! i got so tanned/burnt hah
and the bars were busy.. esp the cocobongo... def recommend that! its a bar with a show! like cirus people but high clss |
