Well, first of all thanks for taking interest about Nepal.I am from Nepal and try to give some things about Nepal.It is a very beautiful mountainous country.This is the country, where the highest mountain in the world Mt. Everest lie.Besides there are I think top 8 mountain greater than 8000m. lie here.this is a small country between two giants China to the north and India to the west and south.You can get much information about this beautiful country by searching in google and other search engine.

Its the country that Mt Everast has.

Its a No go for aussies at the moment as one of us was murded because he had a big backpack, good watch and other good quality equepment.

`Dont take good stuff?` No you cant as the climate can be harsh. Good equempment must be taken.

Even though its a `No Go` we are still going. (no one here listins to the Govenment)

Great people. I help sponsor a school just outside of Katmandu. They love visitors and to share their country. I'll be there in the nexty week for a0-15 days. Go and be amazed at that part of the world.

Yeah I used to work with a bunch of Nepalese guys. Very sweet but they always called me ma'am. Which was weird because I think I was younger then a lot of them. I know that everyone seems to be a Sherpa or a Krishna or something like that. We had a few guys at work who actually were Sherpas and had done Everest treaks. I would like to go sometime and see it myself.

Nepal, a sovereign Independent Kingdom, lies between 80 degree 12' east longitude and 26 degree 22' and 30 degree 27' north latitude. It is bounded on the north by the Tibet Autonomous Region of the People's Republic of China; on the east by Sikkim and West Bengal of the Indian Union on the south by Indian States of Bihar and Uttar Pradesh and on the west by Uttar Pradesh of Indian Union. The length of the Kingdom is 885 kilometers east-west and its breath varies from 145 to 241 kilometers north-south. Climatically, it lies in the temperate zone with the added advantage of altitude.

NEPAL is a tiny but truly one of the most wonderful countries in the world. Although Nepal occupies only 0.1% of the earth, it shelters:
4% of mammals on earth; 8% of the world's population of birds, i.e. more than 850 species; 11% of the world's 15 families of butterflies, i.e. more than 600 species;

600 indigenous plant families; 319 species of exotic orchids; More than 600 rivers and EIGHT of the TOP TEN snow-capped mountains over 8000 meters in height in the world including Mount Everest. Out of thirty-one snow-topped mountain peaks over 7600 meters, Twenty-two lie in Nepal! Astonishing! And while you marvel at these facts, there are so many exciting and interesting things waiting for you in Nepal:

Ancient city tours, Exotic Cultural Tours, Pilgrim Tours, Ayurvedic/Yoga/Meditation Tours, Adventurous Elephant Safaris and other Game-viewing Tours, Floral / Botanical Tours, Birding Tours, Trekking, Mountaineering Expeditions, White-water Rafting, Bungy Jumping, Hot air Ballooning, Gliding, Rock Climbing, Mountain Flights to the Summit of the World and many others are all at your disposal in Nepal.
