No volcanoes in Nepal till now. There are not any volcanoes even in neighboring countries like China, India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Srilanka,... While checking the closest volcanoes from Nepal, I find in a long distance. Followings are found while checking the Google Earth map.

1. In West-South: Erta Ale, Ethiopia
2. In East-South: Merapi, Central Japa, Indonesia and Mayaon, Luzon, Philippines
3. In East-North: Fuji, Honshu, Japan
4. In North: Azasplateau, Southeastern Russia.

There are no volcanoes in Nepal.

It lies in the active earthquake zone.

But there are a lot of hot-water spring. Two of them are famous both are called tatopani. One is near Lete/Jomsom, Mustang. It is a famous tourist site. You have to go on a trekking to visit this. I have heard that it has a lot of hydrogen+sulphur gas. This gas is the same gas when volcano errupts.

If you go to Kathmandu Nepal then ask for Tatopani. You will find a lot of info.
