There is no need of passport to visit Nepal. But there is no direct railway route to go there. From the border, you have to take bus. |

Hey GUYS.. dont confuse him...I have travelled tons of time to nepal, I lived in a place calleg Gorakhpur in UP, we had border called Sonouli - NEPAL.
YOU DO NOT NEED ANY PASSPORT, VISA, or any thing.
You can go to Nepal as you go to any other state in India.
There may be a situation you may need to give proof of your identity.. you may carry any photo ID card.
You can use your indian currency also there for buying any thing.
DON"T FORGET to ask price in Nepal Rupee and Indian Rupee.. they cleverly tell you Nepal Rupee and when you agree they will charge you indian rupee..
the converison is 1.75... India Rupee value higher.
GOOD LUCK |

You don't need any visa to travel across these two countries. You just need your identitiy cards to show that you are from India....might be due to security reasons right now in Nepal.
but, there is nothing to worry about. You can travel freely to any places of your choice. There is no problem.
HAPPY JOURNEY. |

No,there is no need a passport to fly to Nepal or travel by train to Nepal.
There is an agreement on this issue.People of both sides can go and live without passport.
To Nepal there are flights to Kathmandu. But train is available on only one root Jaynagar to Janakpur.Although good bus services are available at the borders. |
