Passport Exemptions:
- Nationals of India holding proof of nationality and coming from India.
Additional Information:
- Nationals of India arriving from India must hold valid proof issued by competent Indian authorities to the effect that they are residing in India and are nationals of India. Such proof shall be in the form of an Identity Card (as advised by the Home Ministry, Kathmandu). Driver's licence is not accepted.

This is Mamta frm Kolkata...basically Im an Indian coz I was born in Kolkata but my parents r Nepali, so every year maybe 2-3 times we go there...well I never go there by air coz I like to travel n explore new things so if u wanna go by air...of course passport is needed but if u r a explorer like me then go by land or I shud say by train..n the passport is not needed...but if u got one tk it wid u..then choose ur destination n go where ever u want in Nepal...if u love nite life go to Kathmandu n if nature is ur first concern got to pokhara...u can also mail me if u wanna know anythin more. you dont have to need passport to enter nepal. but you should have a valid identity to go.

No. But passport is better 2 travel by air. If u were travel by bus, u can bring any documents like ur Election card or Rasan Card or Indian emabassy regestration certificate.
