Yes, I visited my pen pal in Nepal in November-December. It was a marvelous experience. I never met more welcoming and friendly people anywhere. I stayed in Kathmandu and visited Nagarkot in the mountains on a day visit by taxi (I am disabled so I could not do as much as most tourists would do). But from Kathmandu you can arrange any visit to other parts of Nepal, or activities like trekking, rafting, Everest flights, etc. I would recommend you look at the website at www.travelsmanagement.com to see what is available. They arranged everything for me and are very kind and helpful. Do go--you will love Nepal! |

well as far as i know, its got really nice hill-stations and snow-capped mountains. the weather ususally is nice and cool but in summer it can get really HOT!! |

pokhara & kathmandu is the place to visit in nepal but according to me pokhara is a very beautiful place ,very clean too-visit fewa lake n so many caves there. kathmandu is just like any metropolis in india, very dirty n congested. visit the famous temple n royal palace
by flight from delhi, varanasi n kolkatta.
by train till gorakpur or new jalpaiguri & take night super deluxe coach,or smaller cars. |

recently i went to kathmandu,it was not a great experience to me,there was no electricity in hotels in day time,drinking water was not good,we have to buy water bottles,shopping was expensive,local peoples way of talking was rude,lastly when returning to Gorakhpur i faced 40 k.m long traffic jam which took 19hrs. of bus journey instead of 9 hrs.I WILL NEVER GO TO NEPAL. |
