I am not quite sure which are the best hotels. Just I have heard is Yak & Yeti, Solti Crown, Hotel Annapurna are good hotels. And place to visit are Nagarkot, Pokhara, Chitawan, ManaKamana, Srinagar(Palpa) Kohalpur, Karnaali, Lumbini ( Buddha'a Birthplace). It depend's what you want to see and where you want to visit.

Yes, it is good to Visit Nepal. There are lot of natural beauties to see in Nepal. There are many star hotels in Nepal. U can book hotels online. Some of the 5 star hotels are : Hotel Del Annapurna, Everest Hotel, Hotel Yak & Yeti, Raddison Hotel, Hyatt Regency etc...U can take a mountain flight to visit Mount Everest. U can even climb upto the base camp. There are lot of pubs and discos to entertain yourself. Besides Kathmandu itself, u can visit Nagarkot, Pokhara and Lumbini which are known as the best place for tourists attraction...

Why is now a bad time to visit Nepal? I thought the new government were supposed to be making things better?

I have heard that Nepal is a wonderful place to visit. Haven't been there so can't suggest anywhere in particular but Annapurna region and chitwan are supposed to be good.

well, there aren't much "standard" hotels on that area....and you can climb upto a certain height...don't know how much that is...but you can

night life? well, they consider night-life to be vulgar (and it's not a safe time to be around with your wallet)
but...i think you'll find it rather interesting (i don't)

places to visit:
1. chitwan national park
2. pokhara
3. they have rafting and mountaineering games (?) you will have to consult your guide for that (even i don't know the answer to that -__-)

Honestly you wouldn't wanna visit Nepal right now......u might wanna visit Nepal after few years later this is not the right time
