How do you train for an expedition to Mt. Everest? Also, how much does it cost and what experience is needed?
I am currently 16 years old and in great physical condition.I need the names of any companies or expedition guides that I could sign up with the climb Everest's south side in about 4-6 years from now. Thanks
You'll need tens of thousands of dollars to attempt this. The permit to climb is very expensive and then you need to pay for sherpas, oxygen cylinders and all the other equipment.
To train for it you need to be a good mountaineer already and then do altitude training as well to make sure you can tolerate high altitudes.
It's not easy - I have suffered altitude sickness and its really not pleasant to so take it easy - take time to aclimatize an be careful! Best of luck....

if you want to climb everest, you better have a **** ton of money. equipment alone can cost tens of thousands of dollars, hikes themselves cost between 25 and 70 thousand dollars. You MUST BE EXPERIENCED!!! most people have years of climbing mountains. I would suggest climbing kilamogero and denali.
here is a great site to look at:
