Yes I have been to the Himalayas. It is simply majestic. On a clear day you see it from Namche Bazaar in Nepal.You can fly to Lukla from Kathmandu and then trek up to Namche Bazaar. The trek is quite tough...about 5 hours. Best time to see is early morning before the clouds rise and block it. You can also take a flight over it for about US$100.

Yes I have been to Everest Base Camp on the Tibet side. Seeing the sunset on Mt Everest is something you NEVER forget. I still pinch myself that I've actually seen it!
