Don't miss Temples in Kathmandu, Patan and Bhaktapur
Don't miss Thamel area.
Don't stay in Kathmandu for more than few days- traffic jam and pollution. Unlike few years ago, it's very air-polluted these days.
Don't miss Pokhara and national parks, wildlife reserves.
If you want to see Nepal, go outside of Kathmandu by bus, taxi, tours and travel company!!!!!!! Everything outside of Kathmandu is adventurous and amazing to me. I miss those and good weather in europe where i am now.
Good luck.
I think instead of trekking to Tibet, you should rather trek around Annapurna region. It's 100 times better.
By the way, I am a Nepalese citizen. |

Bon Voyage!
Do not forget to come back home safely!
Coz situation in unpredictable out there! HAHAHAHA
Welcome to my counry Nepal even though I am overseas now!
Main thing you should not fear of anything as you are our guest and we welcome you warmly! For short stay some 3-4 Star hotels are cheap to stay and 5 star hotels are of course not cheap around globe. Major credit cards are accepted in major shopping centers and hotels or restaurants.
Sight seeing also provided but you have to find some travel agents or if you have some friends you know through internet they are very happy help you all around.
For weather do not penny worry about it coz it is getting warm I think as it is summer time.
Do not get cheated by some Taxi drivers as I myself is cheated sometimes and you have to be fierce looking and talk straight away where are you going and do not bargain on the fare use the meter be sure whether the meter is working properly!
Rest I wish you a pleasant stay in Nepal and enjoy the fullest!
Thats what you shouldn't miss!
Regards! |

Your best bet in Nepal is to not plan anything too precisely as it is the wandering around on foot that will bring you to the most fascinating discoveries!
If you have the time, inclination and energy a trek to the ancient Kingdom of Mustang is mind blowing, definitely the most amazing place on earth I have been fortunate enough to ever see! Go to Pokora to get information on how to get there, any trekking agency will be able to guide you. |

pashupatinath temple (biggest hindu temple of nepal, probably asia, oh i forgot, foreigners are not allowed, unless ur hindu) swayambhunath and boudhanath temple(buddhist temple). durbar square... thamel... that is all in kathmandu valley. pokhara is a good place to visit which is 22mins away by plane and about 5 hours by bus, beautiful lakes there and you'll also see machapuchre mountain which means "fish tail" as it looks like one and tell u sumthing interesting, if you look at it closely, you can see the shape of a lion. hit me back if you want more. |

Lumbini is very recommended. It is the sound birth-place of Lord Goutam Bouddha and supposedly beautiful.
A friend of mine went, and googled up all kind of descriptions for guided tours- as for they always visit all the highlights- and copied one tour that sounded good.
I like this page:
